raven identified squiggles' crawling technique...the seal crawl. it is the perfect description. she is really getting around. she is following us from room to room and has begun to pull herself up on furniture. mostly she gets to her knees and is all grins. she also loves to slide off my lap into a standing position. this weekend however she made an attempt to walk to touch her sister's toes while she clung to the couch. it was so cute to watch. as she would inch closer, belly would inch farther away.
these two girls tickle me so much. and it's only going to get better as squiggles gets more and more humanlike.
belly is really bucking my authority. she has told me several times in the last week, "i am a big girl so i don't have to listen to you." i really need to find a new way to handle this defiance she is practicing. i haven't mastered a solution as of yet so she is really starting to smell herself so to speak.
next week we begin a real schedule. with exercises, then lessons in the morning. i wanted to start this week, but we did a play date yesterday and this morning i've got things to do. i don't want to start in the middle of the week, but i jut might depending on how much extra stuff i get done around the house today.
i've got a ton of purging i need to do. i went through my closet now i just need to go through the pile of the girls' clothes and see what needs to be donated/sold. also since i can't sell on amazon i am going to take all the books that i don't want that live under the bed and sell those to the local bookstore. at this point i don't even care how much they fetch. anything is better than the dust they are currently collecting.
i also have some old, nonworking electronics that i need to simply throw away. for some reason i can't bring myself to do it. maybe this week i'll muster the energy to get rid of them too. they haven't worked in a really long time and there is no way i am going to fix them despite thinking that i could...i just don't have the time and quite frankly we have already replaced them with new ones.
