I came across some of my old writing. 2000-2001 era. Dark days for me, but not always so of course. Those were the days I leaned heavily on my friendships and in turn saw how valuable those friendships where to me.
Fast forward to now and of course I've let many of them lapse. I've become a bit of a recluse. Well actually I've pretty much always been withdrawn and what not. Unfortunately many of those friendships I value have grown distant. But nothing is lost.
Mostly the distance puts a damper on things and in the past years I have had not the means. I would love to visit Washington regularly again. I know the time will come when that will be possible. In the mean time I just have to be motivated to stop being so detached.
