Dreams

Lay down your head
Float on through the night
Glide with sandman
Watch as he takes flight
Work his magic
On your every thought
Displays a scene
Of things that are sought
A vision that
Will be so treasured
Far past any
That could be measured
You will look back
Remember that sight
Of when your fears
All up and took flight
And then you wake
None's as it may seem
'Member the night
And how 'twas a dream

Spiraling Down

dry my tears and fix my hair
this mask is my facade
dare you to look underneath
afraid you'll find it odd
could you keep an open mind
support me when I'm down
look beyond my smiles and see
the darkness and the frown
I tried to tell everything
I tried to make you see
but I'll not allow me to
convey the thoughts in me
words drowned out by torrents of
sadness, maybe neglect
for as these words tried to come
I can't help but reject
you'd turn your back if you knew
no blame would I bestow
for this thing you'd easily
look past, maybe let go
