We went to a holiday party at a friends high rise apartment.
It was a mixed group of TV and Film people that had worked together and a few other New Yorkers with similar ambitions.
At some point in the party the host brought out an actual Emmy award. He had snagged it while having to do shitty production assistant work, cleaning up a producers apartment after they had moved.
The Emmy had been left behind, and had now found its way into a new home.
We took turns playing a game where we'd pass the award around and pretend to really
accept it. We'd make our speech to the rest of the
people at the party would applaud and judge the speech on content and deleviery, etc. etc.
I made fun of Michael Moore and got a good laugh.
Susan faked tears and was the hands down winner, for sheer authenticity!
