well, i saw no one from my livejournal at our cd release show, even though someone did call to say they would be there. but its okay, it actually turned out very well, and ran very smoothly. i couldnt have asked for a better show. as you all know, i was doing all the promoting/setting up, so i had a lot of things to take care of the day of the show, but everyone helped out and followed directions and made it very easy on me. no stress whatsoever. i did however fuck up my knee very badly during our set from getting a little to over-zealous with one of my frontflips. i am now in a brace and it is getting worse. but, like i always say, it was worth it. we played an amazing set. we actually did all 8 songs that we have, and my voice didnt go out at all (very surprising considering all the yelling) I usually always lose a little off the low end towards the last songs. one bad thing is i found out when i got to the venue that the band green haven we were playing with was breaking up, and that it was going to be their last show. they were a really good old-school hardcore band with a good political message and sick breakdowns. (definitely your kind of stuff rob) so i said some nice words to them before we got off stage.
i got my nose pierced on saturday night (my left nostril) at atomic, and found out the kevin was moving to san diego. so i have to find a new artist now. he did recommend someone though, so it should be cool. it was definitely a strange feeling having my nose done, it made my eyes water up really bad, and burned too. but i like it, and im glad i got it done. i thought it might look kind of weird since the right side of my lip is done also, but it doesnt look bad at all.
plus, jayme got back on monday. i missed her so much. i had to pick her up from the airport, which kind of sucked, cause the traffic was really bad and my leg was killing me, but shes worth it.
also, more of our tour dates are coming together. looks like we will be in gainesville, virginia, pennsilvania, michigan, ohio, and indiana. the st. louis date got cancelled. we also had to drop our last two dates because (dramatic pause) i got a subpeona to show up in court! the guy who rear-ended me i guess is contesting the charges against him, so i have to be there as a witness for the state. im actually kind fo stoked, i wish i could ruin this fucker for the rest of his life, and i would if i could. i just hope he tries to accuse me of pulling a gun on him again while under oath, then he can fucking get charged with perjury. i was just going to try to fly back from the tour to make the court date, but everyone in the band was actually cool with just cutting it short. anyways, thats it for now. no shows for me this weekend, but our next tampa date is dec. 11th at the orpheum with words our weapons, everything falls together, and a couple toher bands they are touring with. it should be a good show. later.
