i read a story in the tampa tribune yesterday about cutting. and the journalist said some of the stupidest shit i have ever heard. main example being "they even have a musical genre known as 'emo' that promotes and glorifies cutting". what the fuck? what the hell is that bitch babbling about. but, thats what happens when a totally out of touch columnist tries to use words from "our generation" without even knowing the true context behind said words. shit pisses me off i tell you.
anyways, i have news. i have decided to start a little side project band. no, im not leaving the mosaic or anything like that, but since nate is constantly on tour with anberlin now, it leaves the rest of us sitting here with our dicks in our hands months at a time unable to play. so, i gave pretty derrick dumont a call and hopefully he will be down with the cause. i pitched it to him as like, a hardcore AFI. i just want to be able to write some really dark, horrow movie type stuff that i cant write with the mosaic because of others religious beliefs. example, i wanted to use a quote from dogma that says "you're talking about declaring war on god!" in or before a song, but because they are devout christians or whatever, that shit would never fly. now, put into the whole context in the movie, it actually is positive about christianity (after that comment, it continues to say "well fuck that, ive seen what happens to the proud when they take on the thrown"), but we cant use any more of that sample because of the foul language.....do you see my dillema? for those of you who dont know, i have a pretty filthy fucking mouth. i need to get this hostility out before i unleash it on some dumb fuck idiot driver which there seems to be an abundance of in this fucking town. anyways, so yeah, thats my story. im starting a new band. (in case any of you wanted to know, i do have a name, and it will be The Chelsea Smile)--side note, chelsea smile is a british term for whn you cut someones mouth from the edges to their ears, also known in the mafia as a smiley face.
