always playing catch up

so, not all that much has been going on since the last time i posted, but ill humor those of you that may in fact be interested. we finished recording our cd last sunday. i think it came out pretty good, the vocals are a bit raspy due to an untimely illness, but they are better than they were before, at least i dont sound like im going through puberty anymore. planning on doing our cd release in march i guess. we now have to plan our shows around annberlins schedule since nate is touring with them full time now. im happy for him, he gets to play music and travel. plus, he gets to play some shows with head automatica, which is fucking sweet. ill keep everyone posted as to the dates of our release. went to see troi and derricks band play at the mug the other night. derricks truck broke down on the way, so only trois band played. they did very well, all in all it was a good night. had to see her again, but i guess i have to get used to running in to her. oh well, dont give a fuck about her, so why should i feel uncomfortable being somewhere she is. i have just as much right, if not more, to be there too. tonight i went and saw keoni and his band, the red room cinema, play at new world. they are so unbelievably good. saw a bunch of people there, i couldnt actually believe everyone that was there, it reminded me of the old times. it was a dukes and sadiya show all over again. caught a glimpse of a girl i dated briefly after me and "the ex" broke up. didnt say hello or anything, didnt feel like playing catch up, but it reminded me of some old times at my first apartment. which in turn reminded me of me, her, and rob hanging out, which accentuated the fact that rob is now gone. florida just doesnt feel the same anymore. tampa just isnt as tough now that you moved bro. it was cool getting to hang out with you and have one last night of slurs and epithets. gonna miss you bro.
one cool thing that happened, a dozen furies won the battle for ozzfest. thats so rad, i wanted that kid to win from the beginning, just so there would actually be a hardcore band winning something on tv. i mean, the other band was okay, but they had a fucking DJ for christs sake! although i would have been satisfied if adairs band would have won (manntis), they were metal as fuck. anyways, cant think of anything else to post. ill let everyone know when we have shows coming up, i think we may play one before nate heads out on the take action tour, so maybe early february we'll have something set up. later kids.love.

oh yeah, watch the new surreal life on vh1, that shit is fucking wack. and also, i love the 90s part deux starts on monday. cheers.
