First, some wonderful Roger news:
OFF COURT - ROGER TO DO TEST WITH PAUL ANNACONE
Dear Fans
I've been looking to add someone to my team and I've decided to spend some days with Paul Annacone. As Paul winds down his responsibilities working for the Lawn Tennis Association, we will explore our relationship through this test period. Paul will work alongside my existing teamand I am excited to learn from his experiences.
See you soon
Roger
YAY! Paul Annacone coached Pete Sampras, who's only the ex-GOAT until Roger broke his record. If this works out, I'm hopeful that Federer fans the world over will have more Sundays to look forward to again.

Second, my reaction to this random post on my Facebook wall was not a very good one:
Interview Buddy asked Ponnu Prakash: is [Yelen] going to be your friend forever?
Ponnu Prakash: yup..
Errr I don't even know who Ponnu Prakash is. The only reason I added her (I made sure it was a girl interested in men before I added her) was because she has one of my Indian friends (now I'm using this term loosely) whom I got to know in law school on her list, so I thought maybe she was an ex-Masters student whom I saw around in classes but forgot about because, maybe, I never talked to her. But I'm not so sure about that anymore, 'cause I really don't know who she is. I feel like removing this person but I feel kind of bad about it.
There goes my policy of only adding people that I know on Facebook.

On to the main point of this entry: I am more evasive than necessary (why is it necessary to be evasive at all?) when people ask me about my occupation or when I have to disclose to a third party what it is that I currently do for a living.
Yesterday, I met my neighbour in the lift, and after she told me how cute my cow is, she asked me, "So where do you work?"
I said, "Oh, Raffles Place."
She said, "In the finance sector?"
I said, "In a law firm."
Thankfully the lift had reached the ground floor and we parted ways without further questioning.
This evening I was stopped by some Prudential person at Bukit Batok MRT station to do a quick survey. At the "occupation" field, I filled in "legal". Survey guy wanted to ask me more and mentioned "law firm" but thankfully my mom had already arrived so I scurried off without needing to answer more questions about my job.
It's an innate, immediate disdain I feel when I'm asked about what I do. I think it can be simply put in these terms: It's Just Not Me. I don't know, I'm idealistic to the core and my brain is selectively anal about what it likes and I just - or rather, I feel like my brain is rotting while I go to work every day. How ironic. But it feels that way. It really does.

My bowel problems have come back, coincidentally at the same time I started work. Funny, isn't it? That's yet another sign, I think.

Totally re-watching Chuck Season 1 again. I'm so excited about Season 4, it's not even funny. And it's strange, because Season 3 is easily the weakest season of Chuck, no thanks to that idiot Agent Shaw who ruined half of the season.
But Chuck is still Chuck, even with an annoying-as-hell, wooden-as-a-wooden-block, fucking irritating new character. Thankfully he won't be coming back in Season 4. And thankfully Season 3 ended with a bang, on an intriguing cliffhanger that promises to tell us even more about its charming, adorable, witty, and sweet titular character.
Also, Chuck is the best form of unwinding after a long, long irritating and sian-max day at work. I love coming home and putting in my DVD and having my dinner along with Chuck.
My excitement is also fuelled by the tweets from Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski - more Yvonne than Zac, and although Adam Baldwin tweets multiple times daily, he never tweets about Chuck. But Yvonne is so cute. I hope her tennis charity tournament went well. I would've signed up, totally, but um, not in the same country. Not even in the same continent.
Anyway, that's about all. Before I go off to bed, one tiny comment about my fucking shitheaded fellow countrymen:
It's a sad day for Singapore society when an elderly woman had to give up her seat to a pregnant lady.
This is a must-watch:
