Leslie never missed an opportunity to drag him outside into the sunlight. When they were done with their conversation inside, she held true to form. Like always, she stopped to smell the roses on the way to the steps and encouraged him to do the same. In another couple weeks, they'd be gone. Summer had been short and fall was fast approaching. The temperature at midday was unusually cool.
It wasn't until after she'd driven away that he allowed himself to further contemplate the reason for her visit. Two hours later, he could still be found outside.
