(no subject)
Well, despite the temporary effing pouring rain, today has been a good day.
I started my day seeing my love for a little bit before school. We stayed at my house for a little, then went to Mr. Pita for lunch. When we got back, I had to gather my belonging and head to school. On the way, I pumped gas, and all by myself for the first time. It was fogging and raining, but this it was my best drive yet. Class went well, I had philosophy and physics today, both covering things I already knew quite well.
Erin gets a 5 day weekend! I'm not going to school tomorrow, since 2 of my 3 classes are cancelled for the day, and my other one, calc II, is only an hour and 15 minutes long, and we're covering thing Mr. Bibik taught us in high school. So instead of wasting 2 hours of driving for a 1 hour class for which I could teach myself. Then I don't have any classes Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so I have it off too. This will give me good time to do my homework and spend quality time with my honey.
So school is very good. Though it is only the first week, I'm pretty sure all my classes will be really good. Most of the teachers are very good, and for my math class (I hear the teacher is tough), I 'm not worried because math is "my thing." And though I feel silly talking classes I took in high school, this looks like a good semester for me, so I can deal with them not offering fencing this semester.
Just FYI, here are my classes:
- ECON 201 - Macroeconomics; Miteza
- PHIL 100 - Intro to philosophy; Linker
- PHYS 150 - Physics I; Povolny
- MATH 116 - Calculus II; Lewis
Ah, the joys of the beginning the the Electrical Engineering program...
Boy I'm tired... I was just playing with my ferret and got pooped out within minutes.
I also got to talk to some of the friends up at CMU whom I lost touch with. I left a comment in Justin's lj, and talked to Jim, Brian, Dan, Andrea, and Dan R. I found out no one replaced me, and Jim, Scoot, and Dan R. all had to leave too. Many changes occured in that one semester. I hope everyone can deal up there without me ;-). But seriously, I wish all you guys the best! Someday I'll make a trip up there and visit.
