Dear Mr. Kopinski:

The Admission Committee of Boston College has completed its review of applications for the Class of 2010. We are grateful for the time you invested in researching the University and completing the application process. However, after evaluating your credentials in the context of a talented group of candidates, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to Boston College.

Each year the majority of candidates seeking admission to Boston College demostrates the potential to be successful here. Tis is certainly true in your case. However, with over 26,500 applications this year for 2,250 openings in the freshman class, competition for admission was extremely intense. As a result of this, many qualified candidates have ben denied admission.

Unfortunately, the college admission process is often viewed as a referendum on an individual's personal qualities or potential. This should not be the case. We know your accomplishments will earn you admission to other colleges and universities, and we are confident you will find one of them to be and excellent match for your academic aspirations.

In closing, go fuck yourself.

Sincerly yours,

Grant M. Gosselin
Associate Director
