Thanks-taking

And yet another fun filled episode of family together-ness. Grandma was over since Saturday and left last night w/ my aunt. Which brings me to believe that family is one of those things that you keep around just for the humor of seeing other people fight. Ok, that's not the only reason... but that's one of them.

I was talking to my cousin Aaryn about how our families always fought during these holiday gatherings. It led to a bet on how long into Thanksgiving dinner we could last without getting into a fight between our households. And of course once there was a bet, it didn't happen. Instead, there was fighting within our own households. There was me getting pissed at Nick for being 9 years old and not in the 9th grade, and Aaryn yelling at her sister [Carrie, the mood-swinging one] for deleting her music on her computer while she was away at college. Hell, how could you NOT find this to be silly?

Went to Knott's on Wednesday and had a jolly old time. Being able to go on like every ride 2-3 times kicks butt, to say the least. Getting in for free is even better. Afterwards, I just figured I'd go see "Rent" [which was pretty good], which would probably have gone without incident had I not forgotten to call and tell the Parents where I was going. That led to a good firm grounding for the rest of the week. But, thanks to Grandma, that blew away faster than you can say Jack Daniels. Or so I thought. My dad told me that I was un-grounded as of yesterday evening, which I figured translated into being un-grounded by the whole family... except for the fact that my Mom is about as unmoving as the DMV. So to her and my brothers, I'm grounded; to my dad I'm ok. So feel free to call and ask to do something between now and Sunday, cause I can't make calls, but I can recieve them and go out with friends. This is the most idiotic punishment ever.

But, I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks.
