Blimey....I hope I always cite my sources, but then again, in the jumble of what passes for a brain I no doubt overlook some things. Or assume everybody knows all of my quotes, or something.

Some of us write, some have something to say: too often it appears the two things are exclusive of each other.

TP is an unusual hybrid. Nevertheless I agree, at least courtesy would incline to naming the source of any articles lifted from in a significant way.

I do think we can move forward responsibly from here. Your opinion as to changes will I hope little require a community statement that has already been provided. We are all now aware of the error, and those folk concened feel, no doubt, the shame of their position: which they can now correct. As for me, I quote and misquote too much Eliot Joyce Willy S. Wodehouse and others who have infected my writing with their evil prose.

This seems wrong.
I'm at my parents-in-law typing on an i-phone so I'll have to protest about this in the morning. I don't quite understand what has happened here, so I need time to explore a little more.

You probably have no idea who the hell I am, but I just wandered in here from talk_politics to say thank you for all of this. I'd always been impressed by the quality of the posts these guys would put up. It's really disappointing to learn the truth, and nearly equally disappointing to see the community's reaction to this information, but I've always been of the opinion that it's better to know an unpleasant truth than to believe a convenient lie.

So... thanks. Some of us honestly do appreciate it.
