(no subject)
i’ve decided i could never drive a car. not because of the environmental damage or anything like that, although i guess that does factor into it all but! mainly because i could not pay attention to everything happening around me. pedestrians, cyclists, other cars, lights, signals, dogs, angels! oh my! it seems so stressful.
today i went to the bank and dealt with travelers cheques and that sort of information. i then went to the mall to look at portable speakers which i found but will buy at a later date. i looked for the i’m from barcelona cd but hmv did not have it so i got grow up and blow away! the first metric album. this pleased me immensely. i then headed downtown! went to granville island and bought cigarettes. the guy that owns the smoke shop knows me now which i find funny. i bought a banana and a mexican flax roll! delicious!
i sat in a park and smoked reading a clockwork orange!
then i headed to zulu and on my way i ran into ashlee and we spoke of life and plans and beaches! that was lovely. i was again looking for the i’m from barcelona cd but alas, they did not have it.
i headed to mec and bought a sleeping bag and then caught the bus to the skytrain which took me downtown to the hmv there where [YES!] i found the i’m from barcelona cd which is amazing and full of love and happiness!
i just got home and had a balsamic, orange, ginger marinated portabello mushroom steak with rice and a nice salad. yum! i think i might ride over and get some gelato and read in the park. then come home to fold laundry, shower and relax for the rest of the evening.
today is my only day off except for next monday [where i’ll be in victoria] that i have until i leave! crazy! anyway, hope you’re having a lovely monday evening/night. oh my, drink some lemonade and take in the cool breeze and warm sunshine!
