I've just finished packing -I'm going away, in a few hours, first to Napier, where Alex's family lives for Christmas, then to their bach (what New Zealanders call a beach house) in Mahia for the rest of the week. I've been promised that I should see more evidence of it being summer than Wellington's been exhibiting, and I'm bringing the Schrodinger's Cat trilogy, some lovely bamboo yarn, and my drum. Weirdly enough, I am even looking forward to the five-hour bus-ride there, there's still a lot of New Zealand that I haven't seen.
Bought myself this bag, made from recycled junk-food packaging by a women's co-op in the Philippines, with the Christmas-gift money my mother sent me, merry Christmas to me!
I'll be back in town on the 31, in time for a New Year's party at my flat, hopefully I'll see some of you lovelies there.
