This weak and idle theme - Master Post

Title: This Weak and Idle Theme (Gentles, Do Not Reprehend)
Author: anoradh
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Dean/Castiel, unrequited Dean/OFC
Warnings: Really bad "Shakespearean" English; accidental Dean/Sam kiss (sort of); some of the scenes are written as a play; sort of AU since the fairies aren't like the ones in season 6, episode 9 ("Clap Your Hands If You Believe")
Spoilers: For season 2, episode 12 ("Nightshifter)
Word Count: ~11 065
Author's Notes: I began writing this for the Secret Angels fic exchange, but I wasn't very happy with it, so I scrapped it. A while back I decided that I'd try to finish it despite its many flaws, so here it is. I apologise to anyone who loves "A Midsummer Night's Dream" as much as I do (as well as to anyone who likes the English language and/or great literature).
Disclaimer: Dean, Sam and Castiel all belong to the creators of Supernatural, as do parts of the plot. The title, the fairies and many of the lines (you'll be able to tell which ones) have been shamelessly stolen from the Bard and I hope to return them after I'm done playing with them.

Summary: "So here they were, searching for a band of fairies [...] on what Dean had proclaimed to be their 'gayest hunt ever and that includes the fairytale spirit in Maple springs'." In which Sam brings out his best puppy face, Cas butchers the English language and Dean is wooed to within an inch of his sanity.
