It has been a busy couple of months. Obviously the journal has fallen by the wayside, and it will most likely continue to do so. Still... I don't want to pronounce it dead just yet. Anyways, to summarize:
Awesome August things
-Trip to Chicago/Lollapalooza
-Mark's Wedding
-Beginning of Grad School/Meeting awesome folks at Grad School
Crappy August things
-Car accident (minor, yet expensive)
-NOT MUCH SLEEP
September has been chugging along as well, not quite as hectic. On Monday I was walking home from work (car was still in the shop at this point) semi-wistfully thinking on how this was around the time of year I went to see School of Seven Bells last year, and what a nice little trip that was, when... I hear a disembodied voice calling my name. I look around. "Is it God?" "Is it a bum who somehow knows my name rather than 'givemeadolla'?" No it's my friend Jordan from work, calling from her mini-van (I wasn't looking for a mini-van). Turns out she has a free ticket to Vampire Weekend in Holyoke. Crazy! So I go to the show with her and her friend Ken (who it turns out is a huge Steelers fan) and I hear stories about her travels, and Ken's band, and trying to keep up with music/cultural things whilst living an adult life, and the Steelers, and it's a great, totally-out-of-the-blue time.
Also looks like I'm going to be heading down to Princeton weekend after this one, and the art auction isn't too far off, and life is generally good.
