Even with the Knicks signing of Amare Stoudemire, I don't think NY is the most likely destination for LeBron. And I don't really see Miami having the money now to go with Wade and Bosh. My prediction on this remains the same as it was 2 months ago, and I'm still going (in order of most likely) with:
1. Chicago
2. Staying in Cleveland
3. New York
4. Some other team
I've been pretty good with my LJish sports picks so far this year.
Also I got a chance to take the kayack out this past Saturday after a long delay and it was awesome. Found a tributary to the Hudson that was south of the port/industrial area (I think Normanskill?) and went up that for about 3/4's of a mileish before it got too shallow. Got some sweet pictures of decaying railroad bridges and of the Empire State Plaza wwwaaayyy in the background. Also, I'm locked in for a trip to Chicago in early August, regardless of what happens with budget bullshit. And the Senate of course left town last week for a nearly 2-week break before passing the final component (which had already passed the Assembly)... staggering.
G school is less than 2 months away now, very much looking forward to that. I've got my new place, will be moving in in a few weeks. And I believe that's it for the updates. Life feels a little bit like a waiting game right now.
