(no subject)
so last weekend was little 500... known as one of the biggest party weekends in the country... and it's at IU, my school. So we attempted to avoid the main party/restaurant street as much as possible, but still ran into many drunk undergrads crying in bathrooms. We also went bowling and jesse worked at starbucks all weekend and i worked saturday at the Education library (barely anyone was there since apparently ed majors like to party, my future children are never going to school in indiana).
I spent sunday at midwest pages to prisoners... i've been spending a lot of my free time there. At least im doing something productive as opposed to watching tv or something. Jesse is doing their bowl a thon this weekend, but i have to work. Sadly no one at his work made any donations... so all the money jesse has made is the $20 his dad sponsored him for and the $5 im probably going to give. I mean every dollar helps, we send out so much mail there to the prisoners, and have packages waiting to be shipped since we dont have enough money. Even a dollar helps.... it just makes me sad that the people he works with wouldnt even donate $1 ... oh well, what can you do. Also if you want to donate and sponsor jesse as a bowler... you can contact met via comment and let me know, pages to prisoners would really appreciate it. I think it's important for prisoners to be able to educate themselves, then they can have a new future once they leave prison ( i mean these people are going to be your future neighbors, dont you want them to be citizens that can contribute to society?) I just dont understand how people, (esp. the students where jesse works) can think that helping prisoners is a bad idea... damn christian crazy people that dont understand that you should show compassion to EVERYONE. gah. so many hypocrites in this town.
Anyway... the term is almost over... then i start summer school the 8th of may for a month and then my internship. I need a little break... really bad.
