not much easier, but still happier

so,

it's getting to that point of the term at grad school where i have to do group projects, im not against the whole thing, but when you have 2 group projects as your grade out of 3 classes, thats just too much. plus, people are not too cooperative with the whole scheduling thing. classes are ok, groups are ok, friends are great. i'm applying for scholarships and fellowships right now. just finished the one that is due the 1st of march, and i still have to get some more recommendation forms filled out by other people for the big scholarship im applying for. i also have to design a fake social event for the assistantship that i'm trying for. so if any of you have some good ideas for social events for graduate students, let me know. i have some ideas rolling, but more are welcome. as for life in general, jesse and i are still very happy,, busy but happy. we are volunteering at midwest pages to prisoners once a week and jesse is working his full time job as well as at starbucks still. im still working about 20hrs at the ed. library as a reference assistant and going to grad school as well as managing the finances for ALA-SC. my life feels pretty on track, some classes are difficult but im pulling through, trying to make sense of computers and systems evaluation. it's a lot of work for me to think with the other side of my brain. jesse and i are still planning on getting married this summer, at bass lake. something small, no real reception, just dinner and conversation. its what i want, and what jesse wants. it'll be nice to have it somewhere that grandpa loved so much since he cant be there. it's very warm in the SLIS computer lab.

to do:
measurement memo on system quality
cataloging homework
readings for collection development
group meeting one and two.
exercise

i'll probably get 2 out of them done tonight. i think kate and i are going to go to the gym and power walk on the treadmills since its so cold out, then maybe we'll go to starbucks for free coffee from jesse and do our homework, woo! time to get going, jesse is picking me up in 5 mins.
