Also, I can now reveal my own contribution, my very first even, To Kill A Canary for my wonderful friend, lady_karelia. Um, NO PRESSURE THERE, K. *falls over* And to further add to the unbelievable, nail-biting angst, the day after the gift posted? We met her for coffee at Fangirlistan West!! That wasn't horridly wiggle-inducing whatsoever. /sarcasm. In a good way, though. I truly hope you liked it, my sweet friend. :) You deserve all the good things, and if you got at least some good from it, then yay.
And last but OMG NOT LEAST. I have to thank my rock star team of triple fantasm.
Firstly, I had the much needed kick in the pants by my personal tormentor, mischievous_t, who hounded me relentlessly, and then spurred me on with her alpha cheerleading with words like, "Eh, I guess it's okay, but you could've written more. Get your ass back to work." And credit given where credit is due. I won't spoil it, but, one thing ate another thing in my fic, and that was T's suggestion. It would've gone a completely different direction without her demandsuggestion, so if you enjoyed that, thank her. ;) The crazy banshee. [edit: I have been ordered to tell the good people that T "was also very nice, goddamnit!" So. She was also very nice sometimes, too. No, but really, she did send me an unexpected bit of inspiration in the form of classic genre films to put me in the mood. The collector's edition of The Thin Man series!!! <3]
Nextly, I have to thank my excellent beta-duo consisting of the incomparable mundungus42 and machshefa. I don't even have to tell you all how amazing they are (you totally know that by now) but they are the bestest evAR!!! Miss Libby has been playing beta for me all year, and her wonderful insights and delightful points of view never fail to impress and tickle me. She really brings the "much more interesting" factor, imo, and I'm so glad she humors me each time I ask for help. She even contributes a funny here and there! (which I obviously embrace like whoa.) p.s. here and here. omg.
And what can I say about the enormously talented, M? You all read her gem of a fic this year, and saw how hugeish it was, and yet she still had time to help me. <3 You are a true friend, and I'm grateful to be able to call you so. I feel after each time you go through projects (or anything, really) with me I learn something very important, and it ups my fledgling game that much more.
And both did it so promptly even though I had probably no right to expect such timing, heh. *cough*
General encouragement, and pets and wibble-walling must be credited to corianderpie who gets to endure my neuroses on a weekly basis. I have so much love for you.
