This morning's mood is a VAST improvement over yesterday's, for which I am thankful. :D
re: my sshg_exchange fic - I am SOFA KING excited, you guys. I'm just. Everything about, in all ways, is giving me pleasure. (what does she mean by that??) }};-D
Got in to work this morning, went to the kitchen to appreciate the view before getting my bowl for cereal and cup for coffee, and then BLAMMO. Different scenery. The tide! The tide was out! :O Tides do that - I'd nearly forgotten. I'd never seen it out here before. So then I stared, for she is easily amused, and when a co-worker came in I was all, "Look! Look at the tide!"
Them: "...what?"
Me: "Look at it!"
Them: *looks* "What?"
Me: "It's out."
Them: "Yeah."
Me: "But. It's out."
I am obviously not from around here.
So, now I have to look up how/when tides work, aside from the fact that I know the moon controls it, but I'd never really thought about how the moon's orbit isn't exactly perfectly spherical, which means the tides change a little bit every day when previously I'd thought they came in and came out the same time, all the time!
You guys.
There's a whole ocean out there.
