Dreaded Tax Day
So, I actually moved to California just a few months ago and until then had grown up/lived in Oklahoma. And also until this year, I've always had a relative do my taxes for me. (because i'm spoiled/lazy) So I'm doing my own taxes now, and as I've alluded to in previous entries (and just a few words ago) I'm lazy and a procrastinator. And as of 20 minutes ago, my taxes are now done! I'm pleased with the effort. However,it took me about 3 hours on Turbo Tax and $120 in State tax fees!!! And $60 for Turbo Tax because I had to process 2 different states!!! LAME! I've never paid that much for taxes in my life!
I'm just disgusted.
However, my return will be larger than normal, so it helps to ease the pain that is filling out an Oklahoma tax form. :\
And now that I've gotten caught up on all the work I neglected for personal reasons today, my tummy is rumbly and I need food. But I'm in one of those "nothing sounds good" moods. Despair.
Actually a gyro sounds pretty good.
Hm. I wish I had lj friends. I need to recruit/hunt some down.
I hope everyone else had a more pleasant experience with their taxes.
