Traipsing Through Time

10:02pm: Because I'm a weirdo who does weirdo things I've been reading my LJ from the start (March 2004) and have come across many an interesting detail.

You may recall I dug up my old paper diaries and wondered where a number of them had disappeared to (the period between 2000 and 2004), well don't know what happened to 2000 and 2001, but 2003 and 2004 were on my computer at the time. The computer my brother wiped because tenants moved into the studio apartment we lived in at the time. Well, that sucks.

In general looking back 18 years is a total trip, first of all..18 years?! Shit son, I remember when I was 18 and thinking that was a lot of years to be around...Now I'm more than twice that age. Damn where'd the time go?

And just now I stumbled on this entry: https://anonymoose-au.livejournal.com/9935.html

ZOMG, that's kind of hilarious! Firstly because the quiz obviously didn't come true (I'm still here aren't I?) Secondly because 12th August is the day I picked for George and Lorraine's Wedding date in my BTTF fanfic.

Now, by 2017 my LJ/DW had started falling by the wayside in my life, so I didn't actually update on the 12th August, although I did update the day before: https://anonymoose-au.livejournal.com/1408913.html

Man, imagine if that had been the last time - which kinda creeps me out a bit - but at the same time, it would have been kinda funny...Like no srs bsns words that would echo down the ages or anything like that. Shakespeare I ain't.

In other news, I've recovered from my cold - whoo! Only took almost a week, but that's probably average... I got to the gym today, hooray! :O) Although I did forget my drink bottle, which sucks because you're not allowed to drink out of the bubblers (water fountains) because of COVID so I ended up with a bit of a dry mouth.

Also, tonight at church the Catholic School next door did the music rather than my parents, but Dad and I still decided to go together. It was rather amusing...the kids did their best, but the hymns were a bit of a disaster. On the plus side that probably makes Dad more confident about the (few small) stuff ups he does when playing.

I will say one thing, whatever happened to Online Quizes - like the one in my 1st August 2004 entry...you never see those things anymore. I guess it's a trend that's gone.

However, I did discover that the "Friday Five" is still going, here's last weeks:

1 Who is the messiest person you know? Can I plead the 5th? Oh we don't have that in Australia...well, it's clearly me. I really need to make sure the place doesn't end up a bombhit again because I just cleaned the place - so to speak - and it's already starting to go downhill.

2 What is the most useless talent you have? Hmmm... well I do still remember an inordinate number of Simpsons quotes.

3 What is the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?? Hmm, well aside from the weirdness of that journal entry... Nothing much. Which is kinda sad. I did just recall today that a month or so ago I discovered that Kim Jong Il is literally two days older than me. Like WTF?

4 If you could get a ticket to any show or event, what would you want a ticket to? A ticket to the Back to the Future Musical! I enjoyed Hamilton a lot and I have always been a fan of Grease so I feel like I'd really get into it.

5 if you could live in someone’s head for fifteen minutes, who would you want it to be? This might sound weird, but Putin, because I'd like to know what in God's name that fuckhead is thinking. Because it makes no sense whatsoever. Plus, I think 15 minutes would be enough time for me to ruin his credibility. Or at least jump out a window.

Well, it's getting late and I was in the middle of doing some other stuff so I guess I'll wrap this up.
