Oh...That's What THAT Is!
11:20pm: Man, do I feel like a dumbass. After all the internet woes of the last few months, I finally realised...wireless broadband isn't just like regular broadband. It's the type of internet connection I've been looking for! One that doesn't need a phone line, but provides a large data allowance - in fact if I'm willing to fork out $89 a month I can go unlimited! O.o
Well son of a bitch, I can't believe I didn't realise this, it's quite annoying when I see how much money I've spent the past two months because of going over my data limit on my phone - I could have used that money to buy the modem for the wireless broadband!
As it is, I forked over the $200 today, although it did require me to go to Harvey Norman, which I planned never to give my custom too after the owner of the chain made some disparaging remarks regarding people who have trouble finding jobs. But it was either that, paying $10 and waiting some days for a modem to be sent to me or driving for another half-hour or more to get to the Good Guys, the other chain of shops that sells the modem.
So! I've got this lovely internet now, $59 for 40Gb, niiice. I'll see how I go with it, since I probably don't actually need unlimited, it's not like I watch streaming TV.

Anyway! It's nearly 11:30 so I better get myself to bed, I almost got 8 hours of sleep last night and as I result I felt pretty damn good. Which is why I updated tonight - last night I had a terrible headache and also because I got an SMS from my mobile provider that I'd all ready used 50% of my mobile data...in four days, what the fuck?!(It did though get me investigating the other options which is how I found out about the wireless broadband thing, so maybe it was a blessing).
But yes, better be off!
Oh wait, I almost forgot! I got quite a shock today when I checked my phone during a lull at work with Mrs S and discovered an SMS from the agent who looks after the Granny Flat on behalf of the landlord. It said they were coming over today for an inspection! OMG! Not only is the place still a mess, but by law they have to give you 24 hours notice before inpsection. So as soon as I could I called them up to see about re-scheduling. As it happened there was some mistake, they were meant to send me notice a week back, but for some reason it never came. Weird. Still at least I didn't miss something and now the inspection isn't until next Thursday, phew!
