Wind Straight From Antarctica!
11:32pm: It remains bloody cold, no doubt because of the wind blowing down from the Blue Mountains where a whole lot of snow fell yesterday - because the climate's gone haywire. I wore four layers today - singlet, skivvy, cardigan and jacket, but while at church I still felt chilly! I could have worn my coat, but I thought I might go to Coles afterwards and didn't want to end up being acclimatised and thus cold when I was doing that. I kept my scarf on though and at one point even put on my gloves, a truly sad state of affairs.
In the end I didn't go to Coles because as I said - it's cold - and I decided it wasn't necessary, plus before leaving for church in the car, I'd hung my second load of washing out, somehow not noticing the threatening clouds. i hadn't got even half way to church before the rain started to fall. I left a message for C asking if she could rescue the stuff before it got too thoroughly soaked but I had no idea if she got it or not. As it turned out, she or N had and when I got back I found the clothes in my laundry basket near the back door of the main house. Phew!
I'm currently watching Le Tour which has caused me to be distracted and that's why I'm writing this so late! Also I finished two books today, I've been reading them for a while and one of them was the new BTTF book We Don't Need Roads, excellent read! I recommend it to all Backies!
Anyway, I better head off, since tomorrow I'm meeting with my parents, grandparents and my great aunt for lunch at the restaurant at the War Vetrans Home, Grandpa will be coming by to pick me up at 11:30 so I best be ready!
I hope I'll get a chance to speak to Mum about this flat I saw on Gumtree, it looks very nice $300 including bills, although not Foxtel or internet I'll have to figure that out myself, and I wonder if we should make a move on it, it's sure to be snapped up quickly and it becomes available on the 25th!
LOL, there's a lot of butt shots going on in Le Tour today...must be because the helicopter has to be so high up in the air - the race is going through a gorge at the moment and the helicopter can't go with in 900 feet, so there's lots of motorcycle camera work today.
Right, I shall do the memes tomorrow, for now, though, goodnight!
