Awkward Ad Placement Is Awkward
11:03pm: LOL on the TV just now there was one ad encouraging people to do Ocsober (forego drinking for the month of October and donate what you save to help kids) followed directly by...an ad encouraging you to buy six packs of beer to win a trip or something. Pft, they obviously just stick on whatever ads they feel like with no consideration.
In other news, the Inter-Library Loans Officer is still away! Gee, I hope she's recouperating all right, in the meantime I caught up on some of the inter-library loan stuff, although as I think I've mentioned before another librarian on staff has been doing the work as well. Although, not as much as usual because I keep having to send books got from other branches back because by the time they get to us the online system has all ready moved the request on. Which is a bit of a pain in the ass, but what are you going to do?
Speaking of interesting stuff on TV, last week I'd written about how I kept seeing a promo on CI for a show I've never seen, and wouldn't you know it, it finally showed up today. Although I still haven't seen it because I was watching something else earlier this evening, it's coming up next though. Not sure if I'll actually watch it because I've got a bit a headache. Not sure why, except I did wake up an hour earlier than normal this morning which was very annoying, I keep getting these night sweats which wake me up in the middle of the night. I probably should have asked the doctor about that when I saw him back in September, but I forgot. It's a bit of a mystery, but I think it might be related to PMS.
And I've just remembered, Back to the Future days are coming up soon! Which is quite amusing since the movie's been in the news a bit with some people creating a hoverboard! Unfortunately, said hoverboard on'y hovers 2 cms above the ground and will only work on copper. Still, it would be pretty cool if a few more prototypes were out this time next year.
Right, I be sleepy, I think I'll just wait til the repeat tomorrow to watch the long unseen show and hit the hay instead.
