10:53pm: On the couch here in the flat, basically I've been sort of leaning on my right arm while having the laptop resting on the right arm of the couch. Looking at this in hindsight I should have seen that this would quite possibly result in a painful shoulder from putting all my weight on it. So now it is sore, boo. Oh well now I know better than do that again.
In other news, I went to the library for my volunteering today and it was great! The Inter-Library Loans lady is really nice and wants to help me get the sort of experience that will look good on my resume. Plus, you know, I love this kind of work. I'm going in tomorrow too before I have to go to the doctor about vaccinations and then onto the gym to cancel my membership before I head back here to the flat. Phew! Sounds like quite a day to be sure.
Hmmm, not much else to say, although I played along with Jeopardy tonight and finally won, so to speak, because I knew the answer to the Final Jeopardy question and the two guys who were waaay in the lead didn't and bet a whole lot! And I scored higher than the actual winner on the show, so yeah, I'll say, go me.
Also, when looking on the ice skating boards I saw a post about Australian ice skating - which we don't have many of, but there's a Junior girl coming up who looks pretty good, which is a surprise because Figure Skating's not big here. Although the Macquarie Shopping Centre Ice Rink is usually well attended. Last time I went I saw some ice dancers practicing, alas there were no twizzles to be seen. Anyway there's a skating competition over in France tonight Australian time but I won't be able to stay up for it, I hope the Aussie girl does fabulously.
Moving along, Meme time before I get ready for bed:

Mystery
Do you read mystery novels? If so, why? Is it the mysteries themselves that appeal to you? The puzzle-solving? The murders? Or why don’t you read them? What about them doesn’t appeal?
I do love a murder mystery novel! I didn't use to when I was very young. Although I did read a couple of Agatha Christie's my father had which I enjoyed even though I couldn't figure out the murderer or if I did be damned if I knew the motive! But I really got into Agatha Christie novels in my 20s and I'm currently in the process of collecting all the books through fortnightly magazine/book collection. All of the books have reproduction of the original covers, which is especially cool.
Anywho, what appeals to me about them is the process of trying to solve the mystery, even if I don't manage to solve them myself.
And that's pretty much all I have to say for today - oh I washed my towel and the husband of Mum's friend down in the main house was nice enough to put it (and my other towels and miscellaneous other stuff) in the dryer because I was out volunteering at the time. Although that reminds me that I said I'd so some ironing, yet another thing to fit into the schedule tomorrow!
Wish me luck with that!
