10:03pm: So, I'm having to use my mobile data at the moment (good thing it's the end of the month soon and I still have like 40% of my monthly data allowance left!) because it's too late to call my mother's friend down in her house to ask her to reset the box.
Good thing I don't watch internet TV or anything like that! All the same, I should probably make sure I don't do too much on the net.
But hey, exciting news! I finished my
Plushy Plush! Wouldn't you know it though? I only just noticed that the face is a bit lopsided, damn my inability to do things symmetrically and/or in a straight line. Also, black satin is a shitty fabric to sew with, at least the way I do it, I'm worried all the seams will eventually fray apart, which would really suck quite badly. But hey, he's adorbs at the moment albeit with a slight glitter shedding problem, LOL.
Actually, I borrowed M's sewing machine - Mum had to drop me back here at the Granny Flat because she left her mobile here last night - forgetting that I'd already borrowed it once before and neither Mum or I could get it to work. How annoying, now I have to get it back to M and Grandpa's place.
But yes, I have finished my latest art project, go me! :OP
Saturday 9
:Summerfling:
(recommended by Kwizgiver)
1) This song refers to the summer breezes and winds of mid-July. Now that July is almost over, how would you describe this month's weather where you are? Well, here in Australia, July is mid-winter, however, we've had a very dry July this year, with only about two and a half days with rain all month! :Oo And it's been quite cold in the mornings, at least as far as an Aussie is concerned, LOL.
2) The lyrics mention the "perfect plans." Do you have plans for today? Or will you just let this summer Saturday unfold? Well, since I'm doing this just before bedtime all my plans have been completed, although I guess getting to bed at a proper hour is the last bit of it.
3) This week's artist, k. d. lang, attended Red Deer Community College in Alberta. Red Deer's school colors are green, black and silver. What were your school colors? Mary's Mantle Blue - and the Colour House I was in all through high school was Tan for the first five years until becoming orange in my last year. Which was welcomed because tan often led to use being described as 'the shit house'
4) She had a bit part in the 2006 murder mystery The Black Dahlia. Do you enjoy murder mysteries? I do! Which means I better be careful not to be a suspect in a murder because I'd like pretty damn suspicious oherwise...
5) Ms. lang is a vegetarian. What's the last beef, chicken, pork or fish you ate? I had ham on my ham and pineapple pizza that I got at the club for lunch after Mum and I worked out.
6) In 2000, when this song was released, California suffered a series of blackouts. Has your power gone out this summer? It's not summer, and fortunately no.
7) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire also came out in 2000. Did you read it? I did! In fact 2000 was the year I got into Harry Potter because I won The Goblet of Fire in a library competition at my high school. Of course, I had to read the first three books before I could read my prize. Good times...
8) Which would you rather have on your hot dog: sauerkraut, ketchup/mustard/relish or chili? Well, ketchup I guess, but I'd rather have tomato sauce (there's a difference, people!)
9) If you had your choice, which would you prefer: new shoes or a new wallet? New shoes, because my wallet is fine, but my sneakers have really worn away...
Saturday Six Oh yay, highlighting and ctrl-c works again!
1. HOW OLD WERE YOU THE FIRST TIME YOU EVER SNAPPED A PHOTO, EVEN IF USING SOMEONE ELSE’S CAMERA? Well, I can remember taking photos on an excursion in Year Six when I was eleven, but I don't know if that was the first time I ever took a photo though.
2. HAVE YOU EVER OWNED A FILM CAMERA OR DEVELOPED YOUR OWN PHOTOS? Yes and yes, or at least I developed one photo as part of school art. In a darkroom with black and white film, interesting stuff. As for the film camera I owned, I had a couple but I'm quite sure I had one of those 90s style pink ones, for a while, LOL.
3. WHO WAS THE FIRST PERSON YOU REMEMBER TAKING A PHOTO OF? Umm...a person on that school excursion.
4. DESCRIBE A PHOTO FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD THAT MEANS A GREAT DEAL TO YOU AND WHY IT DOES. There's a photo of me and my first best friend from Dubbo, just before our family moved to Sydney. We look pretty hilarious because we played with makeup just before the photo was taken. But good times, good times.
5. HOW MANY PHOTO ALBUMS (OR SCRAPBOOKS) DO YOU HAVE OF OLD FAMILY PHOTOS? Oh wow, my father has heaps, they're in boxes in my grandparent's garage at the moment. I do have my baby photo album here somewhere.
6. HOW MANY PHOTOS (IN TOTAL) DO YOU HAVE HANGING ON YOUR WALLS IN YOUR HOME? None, although I do have a framed photo of my friends and me meeting with Ioan Gruffud way back in 2004 or something.
