11:03pm: So this morning when I woke up I discovered the sole my right foot was still uncomfortable with a sharp pain every time I took a step. Worried I tried again to get the splinter out, at least I think there was a splinter in there because there was this weird black dot on the sole of my foot. That didn't work so I looked up the internet which advised some foot soaking which is apparently helps brings the splinter to the surface. That seemed to work...but after leaving the apartment to walk to the bus stop the bottom of my foot started hurting again, crap! There was something still in there!
I decided this wouldn't do, I'd have to go to the doctors to get whatever was left in there taken out by the professionals. Apart from anything else there's work tomorrow where It's have to stand up all day which would only aggravate it. Plus the bus stop I get off at is right next to the Medical Centre, so I went there and waited for the next appointment. To my surprise my usual doctor - who also sees my father - was there and he saw me. He couldn't see anything with the naked eye, but we went to treatment room where he broke out the magnifine glasses and extracted two little slivers after which my foot felt a hundred percent better, yay!
In other news, I finally was back at the PowerPoint for church tonight, double yay! Next week is the summer gathering, I'm looking forward to it, there's sure to be some yummy stuff to be had there. I wonder if I should bring cupcakes or something, I have quite a few cupcake cases that my parents got me from Aldi.
As for the assignment, well...ew...I'm still struggling, also there was a bit of a problem when I ended up restarting my old mini-laptop, which I decided to use rather than one of my parents laptops here. Anyway, the screen is still stuffed up - I have to get that fixed - and because I haven't used it in over year when I restarted it for some reason, it needed to apply 51 damn updates. So, I haven't got that much of it done, hmpf, my only hope is that I can it finished up tomorrow after work.
Saturday 9
:I Gotta Feeling:
1) What would make tonight a good, good night? Dunno...it's a pretty good night all ready. Oh wait, finishing my assignment!
2) In the song, he sings that he's got money and wants to "spend it up." How much cash is in your wallet right now? Absolutely none, I tend to avoid having physical money since I just end up spending it. I gave my last ten cents to the collection plate at church.
3) The lyrics include "mazel tov," which means good luck or congratulations. What other Hebrew/Yiddish phrases do you know? Er..Yenta is all that's coming to my mind...is 'schmoozle' one?
4) The colorfully named Black Eyed Peas include Fergie (born Stacey Ferguson) and will.i.am (William Adams) and Taboo (Jaime Gomez). If you could choose a stage name, what would it be? Big-M! I like it!
5) This song was crazy popular in Canada, debuting at #2 on the charts. Have you ever visited our neighbor to the north? I have visited my neighbour in the north, Indonesia, but I've never been to Canada sadly as it is the home of the Moose!
6) When's the last time you laughed really hard? Um...hmmm...oh! Last Saturday with my friends, I laughed so hard it gave me chest pains, ow!
7) Who received the last text you sent? My mother about meeting up in Chatswood.
8) Which sounds like more fun -- skiing or skating? Oh, that's a toughie, I've done and enjoyed both! I guess skiing because I haven't done that in quite a long time.
9) Thinking of sports, are you looking forward to The Super Bowl? I love in Australia, and even if I didn't, no way would I give a damn.
Saturday Six
1. D is for DALLY: What causes you to waste the most time in your day? Surfing the net of course! Although I like to think I do useful stuff there too.
2. D is for DANCE: Do you enjoy dancing in public, and how often do you do so? Nah. I'm so uncoordinated it's just embarrassing.
3. D is for DECAF: Do you get a genuine buzz from coffee and if so, how many cups per day is your limit? Nope, don't like coffee.
4. D is for DISK: What was the size, in inches, of the floppy disk most commonly in use when you got your first computer: 8”, 5.25”, or 3.5” or were floppies already out of use? Man, way to make me feel old, when our family got it's first computer it was 5.25". By the time I got my own it was 3.5". I do take comfort in the fact I've never heard of 8" when was that around?
5. D is for DORMITORY: How much appeal did you or would you have seen in living in a dormitory in college? Dormitory living isn't a common thing in Australia, it's super expensive and I never even considered that sort of living situation. I certainly never would have wanted to share a room.
6. D is for DRIVE-THROUGH: What’s the last restaurant you purchased food from via its drive-through? Mac as I guess...a long, long time ago.
Right! It's 15 minutes to midnight so I better go, the alarm goes off at 8am and I need my shut-eye. I bid you all...goodnight!
