I am somewhat tired. I've been up since like 8 am (well tech. 8, but i had one of those "5 more minutes" moments. when I woke back up it was 8:20-something) and I have been out all day. at 8:30 I met Nancy and we went grocery shopping. That took about 2 hours or so, then back to the house where I had to put all the crap away, and its easiest to do that without Nancy or dad in the kitchen so I did it by myself, then I helped Nancy with her groceries back to her house and helped put them away. I got a little 10 or so minute break and then it was time to meet Dawn.
Hanging out with Dawn is cool as hell and the best part is she lives one floor up from me. like every week or ever other weekend we have a little something in her house and its like being in high school again. go up stairs, get drunk, sometimes smoke a little and then, I dont have to stress about getting home cause I live one flight down. I can fall down the stairs and be home.
We went to this great craft store on Columbus avenue. It seems like they are now bougggie-ing up the 100th street and Columbus avenue area. I remember when that area was nothing but dangerous. Hell the project are right across from the new Bouggifacation, but now they're built a new shopping center a'la 116th street (only my NY resident and / or frequent visitor friends will understand what I am talking about). I've been wanting to be more artistic/crafty lately and now i found a good place to get supplies. I cant go in there too often though. i spent $40 bucks on some small shit and going in there its hard to go out and not be poor. Everything you see you're like "OMG I WANT / NEED THAT!!" I got some little projects for my niece to do if Kai & fam come to thanksgiving. its somewhat a present for me. I can say "Here. go decorate this little purse and color in this unicorn so auntie can get drunk without you bothering her". I also got some ornaments for Nancy since she asked me to look around for some and some candle making sets. unfortunately I found no candle making sets nor the soap making sets/bases but I will search for that next time since I spent $40 today on the above mentioned things, a new glue gun and sticks, some tea lights and fragrance oil, some glitter puffy paint and some lanyard. *sigh* with all these stores opening up so close by I seriously need a job. I can see my stash dwindling down as we speak. Micheal's AND target and in less stops than it took me to get to school on the train = one poor and sad Bari. The only bad thing was Dawn, in our many "OMG! LOOK AT THIS!"moments, put her $300 Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses down somewhere and they were never to be seen again :( ...But we got some free tote bags! :D
After that, lunch at whole foods where I made a kick-ass salmon walnut salad, then back to dawns where we watched X-men and then finally home at like 7:00pm.
It was the first time in a while since I had such a fun Sunday, and the best part is I missed all the shit that networks put on T.V. Sunday mornings and afternoons. Now nothing but relaxing, esp. since my back is killing me.
