Atonement

Wow. This was simply a fantastic read. Thanks joanie1803 for recommending it to me. I cannot wait to see the film now, and to recommend the book to Jerry who I think will also love it.

I keep seeing the image of Robbie and Cecilia by the fountain, struggling over the vase, but really over their own feelings. Sigh.

Am sitting in the airport in Charlotte, NC. Missed a connection here earlier tonight. I may be stuck here for the night as I and every other passenger on my earlier flight out of Hartford who missed the Atlanta flight is on stand-by. I sure hope I'm not stuck as joanie1803 is waiting for me in Atlanta! What a mess.

Have been reading HP updates on the web. I think I'm really going to like the new movie, but mostly I just want the new book. Thanks to my long day of flying yesterday, I've actually read 2 non-HP books, Atonement and Little Children. Both well written, both sad, but for such completely different reasons.

There are two adorable kids playing together as we wait for our plane. They remind me I'm without my own for a week. :(
