[It was just as he had expected, no need to go looking any farther than his first hunch to find his other self. He's led Turkey and Greece out this way, though the path has been slow with him having some trouble walking, knowing full well what he was, essentially, getting himself into]

[Nods his head as he sets a heavy tree branch back in place, turning to the other two with a wry smile. He'd like to deliver a few blows himself, knows that his other self more than deserves whatever he gets, but he doesn't have to like the idea]

You'll be okay taking care of this yourselves?

[Or yourself, rather. He's not really counting on a small child to provide the brunt of the damage]

[huffs when he breathes in the scent of the ocean, not having the best of memories from fighting by this element]

[at least it appears that a naval battle is out of question. nods back at Spain, getting ready to step forward]

[grips onto the spear tightly, at least he's comfortable by the ocean]

[but he's not comfortable at the sight of the conquistador, and slows down, letting the two adults go ahead]

[Bows his head, stepping out of the way to let you get to it. Maybe he'll just settle himself up in one of these trees to watch from a better vantage point. And that way he's pretty sure to be within hearing distance too, if it comes to it, though he's not expecting he'll really be needed to take anyone down]

[Reaches down to tap Greece's head affectionately as he passes, already moving back and away. You can handle your kid's pee problems, he's gonna get to work scaling this tree]

[gives Herakles a warning glance, wanting to show that he knows full well he's got no pee problem, just a cowardice one, so don't even try]

[gives him a quick kick in the butt to have him move first, before joining next to]

[he COULD have a pee problem, you don't know that, don't judge him!]

[lets go of the spear with one hand to grab at Spain's as he gets patted]

[but shrieks as the butt kick distracts him]

[stumbles forward, both hands back on the spear and eyes forward to focus on the conquistador]

[He's already beginning to consider heading back. Today was mostly a waste, though a relaxing waste. He could do with another nice meal and another early night to make it a total waste]

[Now that his ship's gone there's not all that much to do but continue exploring and hoarding whatever he comes across until it returns, ready to be loaded up again]

[But instead of getting up just yet to head back he settles for leaning against one of the wooden poles jutting out from the dock, yawning. Maybe a little longer wouldn't hurt]

[the more he approaches, the more he notices how more clean and healthy the Conquistador looks]

[he'd wonder about that, but it's not what it's on his mind right now. he'll keep on walking steadily, not to alarm him at first]

[he may notice that he's not dressed as fancily as some other times, though, as it'd restrict his movements]

[plods along next to Turkey, approaching closer and closer and feeling the knot in his stomach tighten with every step]

[as his anxiety rises, he loses his cool and rush forward with a loud yell, aiming to bring down the spear to whack conquistador hard on top of the head]

[Unfortunately, his husband's taste in clothes isn't going to help him in this situation at all. Whereas usually he'd be dressed in nonrestrictive clothes himself for just such an occasion, right now his clothes are more fancy than functional]

[He heard Turkey's heavy footsteps a while back, but paid them so little attention he hadn't even bothered to turn around until the yell, though that alone sets him on edge enough to react fast, bristling]

Wha-

[He manages to get himself out of the way purely on reflex, and it only takes a moment longer to realize who it is paying him a visit, trying to stand up quickly]

Hold off your brat!

[well, so much for not alarming him]

[quickens his footing to get closer to them]

Herakles, stop!

[stops, keeping distance but being near enough to interfere if something happens again]

[turns his gaze back at Spain and holds it there, ignoring his words, still talking to the kid]

I want ya to tell me what he did to you, first. Loud and clear.

[stops his attack, but hops back a few steps way out of grabbing range, using the spear as a very, very thin shield]

[reliving the trauma and starting to shake a little]

He... He... I thought he was the nice Spain! And then he was the bad one! And then it hurt!!

[turns and tries to run back to the comfort of Turkey]

[He's... really got no idea what's even happening here. Are you guys talking about the last time he caused trouble when he paid his own visit to Turkey's house? He hasn't seen either of you since then]

[Holds Turkey's gaze as well, not going to be the first to break it now that the kid isn't an open threat]

I believe we have solved our differences. What right do you have to attack me on the same grounds twice?

[Even if you haven't actually attacked him yet, allowing your charge to get away with it is just the same to him]

[puts a hand on his shoulder to encourage him, still not breaking eye contact]

[it's easier to talk about it when he's not looking at the culprit, so he presses his face against Turkey's leg as he speaks]
