[ America likes spending time with Alex, so of course he's more than happy to oblige when the younger Nation asks him for both yet another trip to McDonald's and swimming lessons. As natural as it may be to Alex, the world he comes from, to America, is still completely bizarre and he really can't help feeling every now and again as though it's partially his responsibility to see to it that Alex is kept happy and safe. He just wants to see everything work out for Little-Not!Him, is all. Of course, it probably helps immensely that Alex is showing good signs of being himself - or rather, of being just like America himself. ]
