lucid dreaming and weather

I know several people who are interested in lucid dreaming (when you are aware that you are dreaming and can direct what happens in the dream). Last night I had the longest "lucid" period I've ever had in a dream.

I dreamed that I was back in high school. I realized that I was supposed to go to third period, but I had no idea what class I had third period. As I was walking to the other building (my HS had two buildings) I suddenly knew that I was no longer in HS and that this was a dream. My mental exchange went like this:

Hm. I'm dreaming. It doesn't feel like a dream, it feels like I'm walking down the street. But I know I'm not in high school, and this is definitely a dream. I wonder when I fell asleep? I don't remember falling asleep. Yeah, these buildings don't look at all like my high school really looked. I should make them more accurate...except I don't remember what my high school really looked like. Oh well, this is close enough. Hey, this is a dream, so I can do whatever I want to do and can make anything happen! What do I want? Oh, I don't care. This dream is going well enough on it's own.

Lucid dreaming is wasted on me.

Then this morning I got a call at work from someone in NC (where I went to HS). I asked her how the weather was. She said that it was great weather yesterday: Sunny, clear, and in the 90's. Then she said that today wasn't nearly as nice: overcast and in the 70's. Heh. I'm thoroughly acclimatized to Seattle--I'd reverse which one of those days was "nice".
