Whoa that is awesome. But I, *I* can fix a cracked part of my 4-year-old cellphone with nothing but Sticky-Tac and SuperGlue. >P

Heh, but yeah, in all seriousness, that is pretty cool, yay for you.

er...what part? i can desolder the flash chips from a demolished cell phone and resolder them onto a compatible flash drive and/or identical phone and retreive all of the resident information.

It was a piece of the plastic where the hinges are (it's a flip phone). There's a little bar-thing that the top-piece slides around to make it open, and the plastic covering that bar had chipped.

and all that soldering/desoldering? awesomely cool!

oh, well if that's all, then it's rather easy. what model of phone is it?

heh, i suppose. it's a Sprint-Sanyo-LG-something or other, lol. But at any rate I was able to get it fixed, like they put a new frame on it, kept the info on it and everything. though, heh, I imagine if you'd been able to do it for me it wouldn't have cost so much...

at any rate if I ever have phone issues I'm calling you! (lol)
