This resonates deeply. All the things we are to other people.
Interesting to me is realizing that there's a kind of self-effacement in this -- I act like, I look like, I am -- except none of the things "I am" are actually things you are, independent of other people.
You are a student. You are a writer and a poet. You are a friend. You are brilliant. You are intensely inquisitive about everything. You are (yes) self-reliant.
These are not all that you are.
You are more than any of these things that pin you down.
Oh god, you too...? There's only one way to go: find out what *you* are/believe in/love, and, betray them all for it/him/her/them. (I just finished Sviksu-- but that's for another comment)

the rhythm of this is beautiful; not harsh, tender. rhythm seems deep in your work, and i know that everything is justly considered. the last line really hit me, like it's reluctantly exploding.
