I chuckled at your mathematics before my brain caught up with itself.

I don't trust fathers in general. So, my questions are, why did he quit at that point, and what did he do next?
Did he quit before his luck would turn, and brought home the money for once? (Yes, he may just be good at something).
Or did he quit before he crashed on the table, and lost it all the next day? (Making it an irrelevant bout of luck).
I'd like to suggest he try the boring, but fruitful old art of betting small sums on favorite horses for placed =)
