To take us to such heights and then drop us so cruelly, it's ... real life actually. My heart aches for them both here, so much. This: He radiates pain, deep and intense. Heartfelt. “This is so fucking ironic.” and this: My face adopts a neutral mask. Unknown, unnamed pain blossoms in my side. I curl my right hand into a fist.

My heart breaks into small pieces.

Man, the Vulcan kissing was ridiculously erotic, and especially poetic as the R&J scene parallels their first human kiss.

I can't even bring myself to complain about their argument, because fuck, I wanted that argument. I wanted it chapters ago, since I first saw how much Spock was holding back. I needed it.

Fuck, you're good.

Hottest Vulcan hand!kissing ever! (And, Ive read some pretty seriously hot Vulcan hand!kissing.)

Also, god damn it, they fucking suck at communication. I want to lock them in a room together and not let them out until they've worked out their issues.

I completely understand Jim being hurt by this. Spock needs to just talk to him. It brings to mind Spock's conversation with Scotty about Uhura, and his questioning what the point is of a relationship if you aren't thinking of the other person as a potential life partner. Ironic that he has conveyed the exact opposite intention to Jim regarding their own relationship, however unintentionally or inaccurate.

And yes, my heart hurts for them both, but in a way more for Jim, who hasn't been privy to Spock's internal conflict and most likely feels truly dropped on his head here.
