What kinds of file names do you use for your icons? fandomiconbyusername##? iconset##iconby## or do you not include your username at all? if you do it by fandom does the # on the end include all the icons of that fandom you've made or just that folder? ie, say you're someone who icons a lot of teen wolf. you start a new set and save your first teen wolf icon, do you name it something like teenwolficon01 or include the icons you've made in the past and do teenwolficon273? hopefully that makes sense, sorry I am delirious.

my program by default names all the files as Image## so I just save the icon by whatever pops up since imgur will rename everything. If I already have an icon titled Image21.png for example (because the numbers start back at 1 every time I reopen) I just add a keysmash at the end.

I like how you used teenwolf as example as that is what I am inconning at the moment. :)

I have fairly simple filenames because I use a folder/album structure to organize them (by community, then by batch). I still wonder if I should include my username in the filename itself, but I haven't so far. Usually something like fandom-icondescriptor.png, like

teenwolf-stiles.png
teenwolf-stilespink.png
teenwolf-stilesmuted.png

...or something like that. Or charactername-icondescriptor.png if I'm doing a single-fandom batch. It also depends on how big the batch is, if it's just a handful of icons (i.e. for a challenge) and multi-fandom I might leave out descriptors, etc.

I have all of my icons in one folder, and I name them Fringe001, Supernatural054 etc.

Names of icons I have for a_mused so far. I organize with folders, names within folders are keymashes or untitled-x+keymash.

I never add my username. The numbers at the end of the icons always include the date (either of the day the icon was made or when a set was started) and the number in this set.
So a Teen Wolf icon made today would be TW25111201, TW25111202 etc.
I always use the same folder on my photobucket account, so I make sure not to use a name twice.

Icons for specific challenges on the other hand get consecutive numbers and include some kind of abbreviation for the fandom and/or the community name. So icons for elitesimplicity would be ES#fandom.
Only my the7days don't really fit into this scheme *shrugs*

Most of mine are for challenges, so I do an abbreviation of the challenge name.challenge number.number in set. When I make icons just because I'm pretty sure I just do abbreviation of fandom name.number.

I have folders for each fandom (and then a big folder for "misc. fandoms") and I just do an abbreviation for the character, ship, etc. then add the icon # and then in parentheses, I add the maker.
