I went off of what was linked to me in the page a mod post. I was told the original chat is now the anon chat as it came first, and then l0ki created at new chat for regulars and general de-anoning.

If there is a new active chat for chat regulars and non-anons then I can switch it out.

the chat regulars stayed in the old chat and the other two are forever empty. nothing has changed, in short.

That was some angry anon's wishful thinking, I don't think anyone actually cared about what the chat-creating anon was saying...

I think there were at least 3 people trying to come up with "solutions" and so nobody could figure out what was going on.

Initially I thought two completely new chats were created by the anon you're talking about and that is what I would have linked because it seemed fair enough, but then I got a comment from an actual chat regular telling me that regulars created a new one and the original one would stay as is only for anon accounts and it was understood that would mean people created new names when they came in.

By chat regular I assume you mean l0ki, since she created the new chat for regulars... I just checked and she's in the old chat, so I'm guessing they abandoned the chat she created. So you can probably remove that link.

I should have added that - there's a person named loki in the chat, I don't actually know if that's l0ki. But I'm guessing it is.

just noting that i happen to plan on using the non-anon chat if others pop by as well. when i came there were only regulars so i saw no point in being anon but if i see anyone else entering who i can't identify we'll do the whole anon thing.
that's pretty much the only compromise i can see without having to sacrifice time with my friends.

I thought they weren't being asked to leave, both anons and nonanons could participate in either chat it was just expected of you to change your names and not deanon yourself if you entered the original one from here and out.

Nevertheless, I've switched out the links and hopefully that takes care of everything and all parties involved and not involved are relatively happy. :)
