First, go watch
this. I've seen this guy perform twice, and he's absolutely incredible in person, but this collaboration between Kenny Muhammad and the NYC Philharmonic is ridiculous. Very good shit.
Yes, he is really doing that with his mouth (not the orchestral parts).
In other, entirely unrelated news, the video game industry keeps telling the morality folks to piss off.. almost to the point where video games seem purposefully designed to spit directly and comfortingly in the face of accepted social mores dictated by the religious cretins who so desire to shape our individual responsibilities.. Whereas it used to be enough for these cats to protest the ever-increasing inclusion of sex and violence in popular video games, changing times have called for a necessary lowering of the bar in terms of what is the "bottom of the barrel". Now, they just want the games to please stop glorifying
cannibalism:
In "Stubbs the Zombie," the lead character eats the brains of humans as blood splatters across the screen.
"It's just the worst kind of message to kids," said Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., who joined institute officials at a press conference announcing the group's 10th annual video game report card. "They can be dangerous to your children's health."
Brains? Dangerous? Really? More dangerous to our kids' health than not having health insurance? More dangerous than the toxic waste being spewed into the skies by the companies that pay for your re-election every year, Joe? More dangerous than dozens of other issues that actually fucking matter that you could be working on right now if you had 1/10 of a fucking ball? Preaching dangers sure sounds good as long as it's nothing more than preaching, doesn't it?
Can't wait to see what the next protest will be.
