I'm a mole murderess.
I don't kill things - ever. I'm a vegetarian who catches spiders and releases them outside. I avoid swatting mosquitoes. I've nursed abandoned kittens and birds... you get the point, yes? So it will comes as no surprise that when Royal (the cat) brought a live mole inside today I set about rescuing it. I caught it under a plastic container, but when I tried to slip something under the container so I could take it outside and release him he almost escaped - I quickly brought the container down again but he had gotten his head out and the container hit his neck and he died. It was awful. I feel horrible. He would have had a better chance if I had just left him to the cat. I'm actually sick to my stomach.
