And while I'm rec'ing a post on setting, let me complain about the book
I was reading set during the Puritan Commonwealth where the widow of a
Cavalier goes through the stages of full Victorian mourning. Yes,
my dear, of course that happened in the 17th century. Just like
brides have always worn white... *sigh*
