Mandatory Vacation...?

His gaze glided over a smooth shoulder.
It was just like this…
He followed the delicate lines along the neck and across the round cheeks. He could see thin pinkish lips curled into a smile. He could feel the soft skin against his body, arms wrapped around him, a pointed nose rubbing his own. His small hands fell on top of the exposed chest in front of him.
The first time was just like this…
Absorbed by the comforting warmth of the embrace, he let the world fall away around him. He allowed himself to be taken in by the gentle movements of the person before him, nestled close to him. He sensed a faint yet natural fragrance as the person drew him in even closer. He smiled too, despite himself.
Except…
Far too caught in the moment, he did not notice the person move until he realized he was lying on his back. The person now leaned against him from above, still maintaining their closeness. There they were again-he looked at them as if they were in a different light-the contours of the face mere centimetres from his eyes. Those slender lips tempting him, but he did not kiss them. He waited for the person, for him, to show him what next to do. He did not change anything though. He did not make another step. Instead they fell asleep together just the way they were; one beneath the other. He felt content to lay there and be pinned down by this person’s weight. Heavy as he might have been, he did not feel crushed at all.
After a while, he sensed him stirring. He placed a hand on his arm to let him know that everything was fine; he need not get up, just to go on back to sleep. But the person slowly rose and left him there.
He opened his eyes and found himself alone in his bed. The sight of the walls in his room looked all too familiar again. A clock on the bedside table told him it was already morning. He swung a hand pensively toward his face, softly covering his eyes.
It was just like the first time…
He thought
… That too, was a dream.
