Ah...I'm kindah bored...kindah hungry. I have class tomorrow. And this stupid stool is annoying me. I wonder who even came up with the idea of tall bar stools in an internet room. A space saver I s'ppose but, the one I'm sitting on just happens to conveniently be located were the floor changes from metal to wood. So it's slightly uneven. Yeah, it does that wibble-wobble thing. I've been here quit a bit already just passing the time. And I just realised that there are considerably less people in here than before. Heh. How strange.
So last night I spent most of my time trying to clip and edit a 130 slide powerpoint presentation for History today. At first I tried editing content, but after about 30-40 minutes I figured it'd take me 'till forever (aka next morning aka today). So then I tried compressing slides together...without compromising font size too much. My blockmate was editing the same document too at that time. We'd IM each other from time to time saying "I'm down to 125"..."I'm still on 128". After she said "120" she got disconnected. I got tired and stopped at 104. My eyes were ready to fall out of their sockets. But the stupidity of me jumped up and danced. I forgot to frigging save it in an effing USB! (d'oh!) But anyway my blockmate had brought her laptop and we proceeded w/ some further last minute edits. It ended up around 110+. Guh.
(Curse this slow linux OS!)
When reporting time came around we tried to get our report moved to Monday so that we could act for the betterment of the Professor and the block. By shortening it to a reasonable length. But our prof wouldn't curve so we proceeded. After some 20 mins (or more...more likely to be more) the bell rang. And obviously. We hadn't finished. Our prof told us to continue on Monday. We weren't allowed to edit anymore, but she told us to present it in a more breif manner. Since we were missing some groupmates (2 who thought the presentation had been moved to monday and went home...one sick), she juiced out the "who didn't do their part" scenario out of us. My one groupmate. The one who did majority of the work. The one editing with me. Looked almost crushed, but she saved all our @$$#$ by saying she compiled all our individual typing jobs. Which was not true. I was like "$#!% why did she say that?!". Anyhow the truth did come out about our missing groupmates. We told our prof that we didn't want to get them into trouble. She said she'd deal with it. *sigh* Yeah, so high school... elementary even.
Well now we owe her so much. Truly one of the sweetest and most responsible people a student could be. [Thanks Camz! Anything, you name it!]
Stupid stool. I'm getting out of here before my butt disappears into nothing.
