From one extreme to another....
So a few weeks ago, I was bundling up like crazy in my apartment trying to fend off the chill. Now? It's currently 76* in here, and I haven't turned the heat on in weeks. MAN. Last night I slept in shorts and a tank top on top of my covers, with the window open! Yeah, hi... WINTER much??
Today I went in to my mom's classroom to help her out with their "International Lunch" to celebrate vacation (she teaches 3rd grade). MAN oh man. I knew this would happen--when I got there, some other moms were already there, and they all wanted to know which child was mine!! [triple take] Um, NO. This other mom there just couldn't fathom that I'm of child bearing age and didn't have a child (and she didn't even broach the marriage thing!). GEEZ. Anyway, it was fun to see these little rugrats that I hear so much about. Her class is quite the melting pot--she even has a little kid from Angola (who is black but is of Portugese descent!).
Now I'm off to try to cool myself down.
