Valentine's Day
So this year was the first year ever i think that i've had a valentine. ive always given them to my friends and such, but this year was the first time that i actually planned out cutsie little surprises to fill the day with.
so it started with yesterday at rehersal. i gave care-bear lollypop cards to all my phantoms because i love them all dearly :) when i got back to my room, my desk had a bag on it and a piece of paper from mark. inside the bag: valentine's day socks. so cool. like seriously. who thinks to give socks?
after leaving marks room last night to go to bed, i strategically and very quitely planted his card on his door using double sided scotch tape. unfortunately, my friend jay had to point out to him that the card was there because he passed it like, five times. and then he had to be reminded of it again. good job. however this was only the joke card. the funny one.
i did the same "stick to the door" thing for the care bear valentines i got for my floor. i love them all so much! got a box of sweethearts and a skittles chapstick from jill and jess, which is freaking sweet :) molly and amalia left me a handmade card, and fiore and jay lin (my secret admirers) got me a carnation :) yay for dorm lovin.
i babysat this evening too, which was kind of fun. his names freddy and hes 8 months old and just the cutest little thing ever. when i get pictures, i'll post them. very good pay too.
got back to teh dorm and gave mark the rest of his present, and he gave me mine too. it was really cute. a really pretty bag with a card inside and a notepad that is like a memo pad, only its "THINGS I NEED TO DO TO MAKE YOU HAPPIER" and you check off the little boxes that say things like "bend over" or "make the reservation". that seriously got me. but the sinker to this hook and line was the single red rose and the heart shaped flourless chocolate tourte with a raspberry on top from dean and deluca. that= reason why im not asleep right now. such a sugar high! also, how cute is marks mom sending mark, jay and i valentines cups filled with candy? a-freakin-dorable.

in other news, im going to be an apartment manager next year, which means that im guaranteed an apartment. its like the RA of the complex, which is going to be a lot of fun. its also nice for four of my friends who get to come into the apartment with me. =D.
lots of good things happening lately. cherry tree is this weekend and that should be fun. and then no school on monday, so i think im going to take myself out to lunch. maybe i wont take myself out. maybe i'll go with someone else. or maybe i'll go with erin to the mall. not completely sure.
or maybe i'll do the reading for all of my classes that i have totally been neglecting. well, not totally. i do my psych reading most of the time because its really interesting and i love psych.
