oh my goodness. There are so many thoughts that are going through my head right now. I cannot concintrate.
I just finished a very intimate and philosophical talk with dawn...
Ideas are flowing like a waterfall out of my brain and there is so much i am curious about.
We covered everything from what is "home" and what makes people want to go there for the holidays...to the ignorance of every day people who dont open their eyes to new ideas...
Then we got into talking about mans fear of different. Think about it...what triggers this fear, why is different such a bad thing? Do we feel threatened and volnerable when we realize that we may not be "right" We discriminated against the african americans because they had a different color skin, there are holy wars because of different beliefs, gays are seen as a bad thing in our society, just because they are different. It can even be seen in schools, the different people are rejected and made fun of. Who determines who is actually different...and also , who determines who is popular? Is it just some power struggle that ultimatly the more outgoing, most conformed win?
Oh man...im never going to be able to concentrate on studying...let alone sleep tonight.
