so far, the most exciting elements of today have been finding my second glove under my desk after weeks of looking for it, and being recognized by dr. wittig for the first time, even if he didn't see me when he was calling roll. he told us today that he never dreams in old english, but he does dream in latin, and more often he dreams about having to wash dishes to get through college.
hopefully, tonight i'll be seeing yo la tengo, but i'm still holding out for that to be a failure because i couldn't stand to be disappointed again. they were sold out when i went to get tickets and my heart broke, but now tracey is supposed to squeeze me in because she works at the cradle.
we will see. if it works out, i will be the happiest anna on earth.
also this week! jazz at memorial hall, maybe an art show at chapel hill comics, missing upright citizens brigade because i don't have any money, and completing my study abroad application. a good week indeed, made better because i now have two gloves to protect me from the arctic winds that are howling through campus.
